The calm suburban life
I’m back at home in good ole Southborough, MA for the week. After a way-too-hectic past week (3 all nighters in 5 days spent DJ’ing + packing, followed by a 3 day festival + 3 afters) I’m actually enjoying the slow pace of suburban life.
I wake up, eat breakfast, drink a coffee, sit down at my standing desk and work for the day, play with Luka 🐶, and then go on a run in the evening.
Already, I’m feeling a bit of the nyc fomo—there are birthday parties this weekend I’ll be missing, plus so many pop-up shows I can’t see. But it’s also nice to not need to worry about these events at all, since I don’t even have a chance in the first place to go.
Living out of a one bag

I’m finally packing my bag for this trip, and first of all, man do I have a ton of stuff 😅.
I decided to buy an Aer Travel Pack 3 and attempt to one bag this trip (probably more like 1.5 bag if I’m being honest). Anyone who knows me knows I love my stuff. I really like having specific items for specific purposes, and that has led to a somewhat absurd collection of bags, shoes, clothes, electronics, camera equipment, music equipment, etc.
Whereas in reality, I don’t need all of these things to thrive and be happy. As such, one of the things I’m trying to get out of this trip is reducing my mental clutter spent worrying about having the right things. Traveling with a single bag will be the forcing function that ensures I pack only what I truly need.
I’m already feeling a sense of freedom that comes from having everything I need in a single bag. It feels like I can go anywhere, and travel for an indefinite amount of time.
